- OH&S management within Southern Region. I had a pivotal role in driving the “safety first” attitude to all staff. I have done this with keen attention to detail, communication, and provision of accurate, timely safety information.
- Coordination of the Region’s fire preparedness including the purchase and maintenance of equipment, recruitment of casuals and seasonal staff, implementation of the Fire Fighter Health and Fitness Program, rostering and annual fire plan compilation.
- The administration of over 70 items of plant, including a range of heavy and light vehicles, which the region leases for around $1 million each year.
- The Region's annual pest animal control program on a day-to-day basis, supervising the programs of two pest animal controllers and monitoring outcomes. This included representing Southern Region on 10 wild dog working groups across southern NSW
- Managing the training requirements of over 70 employees, including the engagement of training providers, scheduling of new training and refresher training to ensure all staff have the relevant certifications.
